traditional wudang training classes: Tai Ji & Gong fu
These classes involve stretching/loosening/warm-up, body movements, and basic skills and techniques.
In gong fu (kung fu) classes this will include fitness and conditioning, stances and strike drills, and the 36 kicks.
In the tai ji (tai chi) class this will include stances, qi gong, tai ji stepping, arm movement and balancing drills, tai ji kicks and tuishou (push hands).
These classes will form the central pillar of Wudang training in Daoshu.
See our facebook page for latest info.
form practice classes
These sessions can be used to supplement the traditional training classes and/or for students who want to focus primarily on learning a form (sequence of movements) from the Tai Ji, Qi Gong and/or Gong Fu Systems. Initial stretching/loosening/warm-up followed by form pratice and a drill on one technique within the form.
In summer as we practice outside there will be a greater frequency of form practice sessions and an opportunity to study a staff form in detail in the gong fu classes for those who are interested.
A greater level of individual tuition will be offered during this class to students.

We we will also run a full day Wudang Bootcamp on Shotover Hill twice a year, to deepen students' practice. Next one will be in late Spring 2017, see News for more details.
