Xuan He Quan Project

The Xuan He Quan 玄和拳 Project

I have been constructing a new form to further facilitate the gong fu practice of my experienced students and myself. It is demanding but flowing and harmonious, which helps with managing the demanding bit!

It also moves towards the idea that there were originally a greater quantity of kicks in the main san feng pai gong fu forms than currently practiced today (evident in the original transcripts of the form sequences).

Xuan He Quan is comprised of:
- my favourite flowing sequences from within xuan zhen quan, xuan gong quan 1/2/3, fuhu quan, longhua quan and a snippet of bajiquan.
- kicks from the 36 that are unrepresented in the san feng pai forms
- sequences from Laoshan that didn’t get transmitted to Wudang (but evident in those rare YouTube clips that are floating around)

Here is the end product, but always more practice required!
